Metronomy - “The Look”
Was about to post this myself when I saw Donald Glover did. Great song from a band with a great sound that I can’t wait to hear more of.

Chromeo - You’re So Gangsta
I don’t know what to say about this song other than it’s probably the best thing ever. Just having the song pop up when I’m shuffling through my ipod is enough to bring a smile to my face. This electro-funk-hip hop-house cut from their first album isn’t especially representative of Chromeo’s music, but it’s awesome nonetheless. Also, do yourself a favor and see these guys live—not only are they, in all likelihood, the two coolest guys on the planet, but they bring along tons of energy, a seizure-inducing light show, and tight musicianship.

The Hundred in the Hands - “Lovesick (Once Again)”
Sounds like: Nouveau electro-pop meets 60’s pop
From their eponymous debut, which has quite a few good songs on it. You should check out “Young Aren’t Young” and “Killing It”.

Pollyn - “Long Way Up”
Sounds like: A dreamy Little Dragon
Vanish asked me today if I knew of any music that sounded like The XX. The best I could come up with was Little Dragon, because I think both bands are good to listen while having Chex. Yes, great breakfast music.
I found out about Pollyn, embarrasingly enough, from this thing. It is surprisingly a great way to find out about indie artists you really, really snoozed on. Yes, ladies and gents, my ear is to the ground, though certainly not the underground.

Dragonette - I Get Around (Midnight Juggernauts Remix)
Eat your heart out, Catchy Song of The Day. Literally eat it out because that’s the only way you’ll stop your foot from tapping (or stomping). This is what mainstream pop music should sound like. I get that Crystal Castles might not be for everyone (although I think, with the exception of about 3 songs per album, that it’s incredibly catchy), but who can possibly argue with this song?
Max has been recommending songs to the authors of this blog since its inception, so its about time he finally has written a post for us.

Ana Diaz - “New Way”

Sounds like: A mushaboom rip off, in a good way.

Matt & Kim - “Cameras”

My favorite nudist, Brooklyn based synth-punk pop duo are at it again with their new single, “Cameras” out tomorrow in an iTunes only release. It starts out sounding like an old-school Trick Daddy beat but quickly turns into the dance-punk we have come to know, love, and expect from Matt and Kim. Someone was kind enough to rip the stream on M&K’s facebook page into an mp3 so here you have it, albeit in horrible quality.
