Surfer Blood - “Harmonix”

Sounds like: Like a Surf Rock Built to Spill.

So my friend Nick Elser* has apparently told me like 5 times that Surfer Blood is coming to Ithaca on Monday, but it was news to me when he told me this morning and I am super duper pumped. Yes I just said “super duper”. And also, yes, you are still apparently reading this for some reason.** Well anyways, if you have heard of Surfer Blood yet somehow, this is my favorite song of theirs. It starts out with some regular guitar, but then after like 5 seconds they are like “fuck it”, and start playing only harmonics for the rest of the song and its sounds really fucking cool.

*Who has told me about 95% of the music I’ve posted. I’ve contemplated renaming this blog “songfromnickelsersituneseveryfuckingdaywhetheryoulikeitornotbitch.tumblr.com” but tumblr said that name was too long.  Max told me about the other 5%, including Surfer Blood. 

**There’s a reason why this in size 6 arial font - so no one reads it.  Just listen to songs, that’s the whole point of this thing.
