Wu-Tang Clan vs. The Beatles - Uzi (Pinky Ring) (Mixed by: Tom Caruna)

Another year, another new mashup album of The Beatles and some (relatively) contemporary artist. However, Tom Caruna’s Mashup of the fab four and the Wu-Tang Clan is rather revolution because he mixed in a lot of sound samples about The Beatles — both negative and positive. Unlike other atrocious mashups (hint: Beatallica was the stupidest musical idea of 2009, in my opinion), Caruna thoroughly inundated each song with influences from both bands, instead of the tried-and-true method of smashing together one musician’s background music and another musician’s lyrics. Uzi (Pinky Ring) is probably the best representation of this equal-opportunity mashup.
