Animal Collective - Daily Routine (Phaseone Remix)

Okay, okay, so I know that I’m a bit (perhaps the words ‘extremely’ or ‘fashionably’ fit better) late to the party, but this remix is absolutely amazing. According to iTunes and Last.fm, I’ve listened to this song 99 times in the last three days (as of 5:40pm, IST, 1/12/10) and I don’t often get past the 30-40 repetitions threshold. When I first heard ‘Daily Routine’ the only remarkable things I noted were Panda Bear’s drawl and that the the lyrics were a cute mockery of the monotony of a ‘Daily Routine.’ However, when I heard this remix I was thrust into a peaceful state of mind; a trance that only song’s such as Paul Oakenfold’s Goa Mix (1994) or BT’s Rose of Jericho had put me in.

Bliss. That’s what this song is.
