Sun Airway - “American West”

This is from the album Nocturne of Explored Crystal Chandelier, which was very ambiguously released last Wednesday. ”American West” is the “Electric Feel” of the album - catchy, upbeat, and accessible. Though I don’t expect Sun Airway to blow up as big as MGMT did, I could see them gaining some mainstream traction much in the same way, then losing it when they release their Congratulations. I strongly recommend that you give Nocturne a listen, as like Oracular Spectacular, it’s a great album. Maybe Sun Airway will be lucky enough to avoid the same pitfalls as MGMT, and since their first single is one of the more emotional tracks on the album, they seem to be off to a good start.
